Materials to increase productivity

Our high-speed steels can, for instance, be used to manufacture cutting machine tools for top processing speeds, which ensure a substantial increase in productivity.

The range of high-speed steels Rapidur developed by DEW includes all high-alloy tool steels that retain the requisite high installed hardness of approximately 60 to 67 HRC at working temperatures of nearly 600 °C. Among other things, the service properties of these steels are due to their high carbide content, which results in a very high resistance to wear. For every area of application, we can deliver individually customized steels that are characterized by the following properties:

  • Very high resistance to wear
  • High resistance to pressure
  • Great toughness
